“In the throws of my creative affliction I have had to make room for this, my most personal expression. Performing by myself with a relatively barren approach has brought me many of deepest reflections on how and why I do what I do. The purpose of this tour is not promote a new record, as I have none, it is keep this flame alive and set myself again into a setting that is largely uncomfortable and unknown to me. The set will be made up of songs that I have written and recorded over the last 10 years of my life, both solo and in group endeavours, as well as a great deal of new material that I have been writing and will be writing during the performance and during the travels that get me there, this performance will incorporate acoustic as well as electric guitar and sound texture. I am simultaneously terrified of and embracing of the energy that these performances will bring.” – Scott Michael Kelly
